Probate and Estate Valuations

A probate valuation is a written inventory, detailing the contents of an estate. Personal possessions covered include art, antiques, jewellery, collectables, vehicles, furniture and general household items. Our valuations are compliant with HMRC and in accordance with the Inheritance Tax Act.

How it works

Once you have booked an appointment, our professional appraiser will attend the property. If it is vacant, we can arrange access with your appointed key holder. We will go room-by-room, identifying items of value. Where possible, please point out any items which you feel may be significant, including for example jewellery, that may not be immediately visible.

Within seven working days of the visit, you will receive a full digital report that can be used for probate and inheritance tax calculation purposes. We can also email a copy to your solicitor.

Should you wish us to, we can, when you are ready, assist you with the sale of items at auction.
